Main Duties/Activities

Lead the Design for Assembly (DFA)

Develop process flows

Develop PFMEA with support functions involvement

Support Product Engineering for DFMEA analysis

Support plant team for developing standard work instructions (SWIs)

Develop the process layout including material flow, subassembly, trimming assembly and sequencing

Develop assembly workstation layout and flow per internal Ergonomics Memorandum

Develop then optimize the MTM and Line Balance with internal tools

Complete ergonomic analysis for all workstations

Support technical costing of engineering change requests (ECRs)

Maintain action plans to minimize the ergonomic impact from process and act on this information to eliminate the conditions (AGREPT)

Support Lean Design Workshops, Kaizen events, and equipment run-offs

Participation in development of new manufacturing techniques for competitive leverage

Support run and rate activities with stop watch

Support operations to reduce manning

Understand the development of storage and shipping

What You Need for this Position

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Operations or Industrial Engineering

Knowledge of MTM or any other time methods

Knowledge of workstation analysis and optimization

Knowledge of PFMEA, Design of Assembly, Line Balancing, and Ergonomics

Experience with AutoCad and Excel

3-5 years of experience or demonstrate experience through internship in manual assembly processes

JIT seating experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Autonomous and self- confident
