What You Will Be Doing

You are responsible for the sales and promotion products to hospitals and surgeons within a specific territory. As a goal-driven sales consultant, you are the primary person responsible for driving revenue by maintaining and growing annual sales volume. Your primary responsibilities include accurately forecasting your business, owning customer relationships, understanding and targeting customer product needs, and developing and executing the sales strategy around those opportunities.

Plans and creates sales opportunities for a variety of Company products and develops new customers where cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities and account management skills are critical

Creates new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and by developing relationships within the cardiac community throughout the assigned territory

Utilizing company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to manage lead generation, lead qualifying, lead follow-up and follow through, including documenting results in CRM

Understands the medical device market/industry segment and works to ensure that Company acquires a significant portion of the business growth in the segment/area

Increases revenue in each major account by leveraging relationships and developing internal referrals

Educate and trains surgeons and relevant hospital staff on technical matters relating to products and procedures

Assist with travel preparation (packing list, gather of materials needed for trip, etc)

Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality System procedures

Assists Director of Sales & Marketing and the Marketing Coordinator with product campaigns and promotions

Assists with trade show set-up, tear down and product demonstrations

Responsible for generating monthly reports including forecasts and updates on assigned sales objectives

Presentation skills and ability to present to rooms of up to 30 people

What You Need for this Position

Must have prior strong track record of selling medical devices (ideally surgical instruments) in some capacity.

BS degree in Business or Science Field OR Associates degree plus 2 years sales experience in medical field OR/Clinical sales experience in cardiac preferred

Travel within assigned territory/territories

Must have a valid drivers license, possess active vehicle insurance and be able to operate a motor vehicle
