We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Leader with at least five or more years of proven sales experience in automotive industry, with CNC/Machined parts experience under their belt.

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager, more of an in-house/Inside Sales Manager, involved with quoting, etc. The focus of this role will be servicing our current accounts, creating opportunities for additional sales from them and eventually branching out to new customers too.

More specifically, this role will perform the following:

  • Responsible for all sales function of current customer base, including acquisition of new business within those lines

  • Generate and present quotations.

  • General customer contact (full responsibilities including negotiations within the guidelines given by Manager).

  • Reporting according to the Company org-chart structure and guidelines

  • Responsible for achievement of individual goals - agreed on with Manager (KPI, personal, projects, business case prep)

  • Transfers market and customer know how, requirements to the organization

  • Responsibility for customer contracts (in cooperation with sales management and legal team)

  • Support escalation topics ( overdue payments, quantity planning, deliveries)

  • Represents company at industry association meetings and trade shows to promote products.

  • Acts as liaison between sales and other departments, actively participate in (if nominated lead a) cross functional projects.

  • Coordinates and cooperates with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Quality during launch of new products.

  • Assists in preparation of marketing material and technical publications.

  • Establish product pricing and insure company goals regarding EBIT are achieved.

What You Need for this Position

Please note - Due to what WE do/What our CUSTOMERS do, Experience and understanding of CNC machining is critical.

  • 5+ years sales experience in automotive industry is desired

  • Preferred: engine industry segments or powertrain industry segments

  • College degree in Sales/ Marketing or Technical Field with Sales background

  • Technical understanding and background in CNC machining and assembly processes preferred

  • Microsoft office skills - Expert Level

-Must have experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFQs & RFPs.

-Must have proven experience as a self-driven, results-oriented, natural forward planner

-Must be Mobile and flexible to travel mostly within Ml. (occasional out of state) on a regular basis as needed.

-Able to work with others and be a team-player

-Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major automotive account customers and large contracts promoting systems and assembly product solutions

-Multiple language/Multilingual skills ( German language knowledge is an asset)

-Team player, goal focused, consistent, positive attitude, willing to travel (More of an inside role, but occasional regional travel required)

-Active, effective Communicator (external and internal) with the ability to communicate with customers both technically and financially.
