What You Will Be Doing

-Lead and manage product/process developments and validations following XGS' product design and development protocol.

-Work closely with Commercial Team provide technical support for customer adoption of XGS' products.

-As an applications specialist generate new product ideas together with XGS' marketing and research teams.

-Design testing protocols and develop SOPs.

-Supervise lab technicians.

-Conduct technical presentations at customer sites, conferences, and/or exhibitions.

What You Need for this Position

-Bachelors or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or similar field (IDEALLY TARGETING SOMEONE W/ PH.D)

-7-10 years of product development experience in inks, coatings, paints, adhesives, films, foams, and composites with an emphasis on

-Solid training in Surface Chemistry and expertise in selecting appropriate surfactants and applying surface modifications with organic functional groups or

metal nano-particles.

-Expertise in ink/coating/paint formulations, mixing techniques, rheology, slurry handling, and printing/coating technologies.

-Experience using industrial mixing and compounding equipment

-Ability to use conventional analytical instrument such as DSC, TGA, FT-IR, Microscopes, AFM, Potentiometer, and Permeability tester.

  • Someone who can formulate composite materials - thermoplastics - strong technical acumen - someone who can lead & direct the group

---Eventually become the Director of R&D---

  • Metals experience would be helpful

  • This role is an application developer but it's really a Senior Chemist position - developing multiple materials


  • chemistry additives (polymer chemist)

  • Thermoplastics / thermal sets / elastomers

  • Needs to have worked for a company that makes stuff - develop solutions to meet customer needs
