The Water & Wastewater Treatment Sales Engineer is responsible for the sales of treatment component and solutions for water and wastewater treatment in the municipal and industrial markets including the generation of profitable sales to meet the growth expectations of the business in the US. Responsible for generating forecasted sales volume with established gross margin. This position will involve technical and relationship selling and will require the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, manufacturers representatives, end-users, and colleagues. The position may also require frequent travel to promote the products, meet with engineers, visit customers and 3rd party reps, and to other company locations and trade shows.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manages and grows sales volume with existing and new customers. Prospects successfully to expand the customer base with the expectation of incremental growth

  • Develops and implements plans to expand business presence for a portfolio and/or obtain new sales business

  • Sells based on company value proposition by identifying key growth opportunities of Supply product and services offerings

  • Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers on all levels of an organization to attain sales goal

  • Shares market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization and establishes relationships and working partnerships with all levels

  • Participates in all local trade shows. Attends monthly business meetings for all business sponsored associations

  • Utilizes reporting to analyze customer buying trends and develop plans to qualify and engage new customers. Penetrates multiple buying types within an organization

  • Remains up-to-date on product improvements, industry, and technical knowledge

What You Need for this Position

  • MUST have a minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience into he water and wastewater markets

  • MUST come from and know the water and wastewater industry

  • Experience selling into Municipal and Industrial markets

  • BS degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Biosystems or Civil Engineering

  • Must posses strong and positive communication skills; written, verbal and presentation skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be okay with travel
