We are looking for an available maintenance mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of various electrical/mechanical systems and other Manufacturing equipment at a Madison area industrial plant/Machine shop equipment.
What You Will Be Doing
Please note: Our needs are for a candidate for a FIRST/Day shift (7Am - 3Pm) Monday thru Friday. (We do have another role on a Swing/2nd shift)
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Those able to support repairs/maintenance on the electrical side would be ideal, along with applicable mechanical, robotics, CNC maintenance and repair, systems and controls, etc. experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Some of what you will be responsible for, will include:
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed
What You Need for this Position
-High technical ability to quickly analyze, troubleshoot, and collaborate with management to solve mechanical issues for industrial equipment.
-An ability and experience working with various electrical systems/electrical controls, etc.
-Familiarity with lathes and mills, other CNC repair experience is a PLUS.
-Ability to conduct predictive and preventative maintenance on machines
-Safety first work ethic to provide safe working conditions for production employees
-Experience ordering parts and keeping inventory for necessary repairs and maintenance schedules
-Experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
Additional Qualifications include:
-High School Diploma or equivalent is a MUST, we would prefer those with a 2 year/Associates degree if possible
-Demonstrates strong technical skills and knowledge of industrial systems maintenance, including Electrical systems, mechanical systems, and CNC equipment and machinery
-Demonstrated ability to work with machines, repair, and troubleshoot equipment
-Ability to read, write, and communicate English effectively
-Ability to keep detailed records regarding processes, procedures, inventory, etc.
-Proficient in analyzing difficult situations, quickly solving problems, and complying with production standards
-Ability to work in a team atmosphere and in individual situations
-Demonstrated electrical, mechanical, CAD, and PLC experience is a plus
-Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Windows)
