Located in San Francisco we are a technology company focused on the development of autonomous robots to impact the evolution of the next generation of agricultural machinery. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in robotics to join as a key member of our engineering team.
What You Will Be Doing
focus on low level robotic components of the system
develop real-time environments for time-sensitive actions
integrate actuators and sensors with our ROS ecosystem
transcribe system-level commands into low-level commands to the actuators and debug hardware issues
validate system performance

What You Need for this Position
B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
Minimum of 4 years' industry experience in writing robust, production-ready, cleanly-written, reusable, and well-tested code
Must be proficient in C and C++ with a strong background in object-oriented programming and system architecture
Hands-on experience working with debugging, physical hardware, actuators, and sensors (LIDAR, SONAR, IMU, GPS device)
Fluency with Linux development environments
Experience with real-time operating systems, interrupts, and schedulers
Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers
Experience with ROS
Experience designing custom boards
