We are looking for a Customer Support Field Service Engineer who has experience in a customer facing role who is open to extensive travel to add to our team in our greater Atlanta, GA, office. What You Will Be Doing
-The ideal candidate will have either educational or work experience in radar, servo motor-based mechanical positioners, robotics, or other mechatronic machinery.
-The candidate would have dealt with system integration or service of complex electromechanical machinery.
-As much of the work will take place at customer facilities, the candidate must be able to think and work independently with little direction and be able to improvise with a limited set of available resources.
Other responsibilities include:
-Support customer test/production facilities on regularly scheduled or as-required basis for calibrations, system precision alignment, and preventive maintenance (PM) utilizing standard and proprietary test equipment
-Exhibit excellent diagnostic abilities to isolate issues and repair equipment
-Troubleshoot system and assist customers to ensure proper operation of positioners, controllers and other electromechanical equipment
-Perform precision system alignment using laser tracker or other optical tools
-Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software
-Prepare and comprehensive Field Service Reports and Calibration Certificates and other documentation in a timely manner
-Develop outstanding relationships with Company's customers to enhance future business opportunities
-This position will require extensive domestic and international travel (about 60%)
What You Need for this Position
Calibrations/ System precision alignment
Onsite field visits
Laser alignment tools
-Experience with servo motors and control systems
-Experience with antennas or antenna measurements
-Programming skills (C, C++, VBASIC, java, or similar)
-Experience with RADAR systems
-Experience with Engineering Applications such as Matlab or LabView
-MUST be open to 40-60% travel
